Is KILL TEAM Games Workshops best system Yet ?

With the New release of #Killteam 2024 is this the start of the end of large format gaming ?With the release of #Spearhead for the fantasy fans which has seen fantastic success #Killteam is looking to set the bar even higher. whilst its rules can be some what more complicated which some might argue are required to help differentiate the just start playing to the mastering of your specific team. Unlike #Spearhead is reliant on objective cards #KILLTEAM is very much still a mission based game with a lot of missions to get you going straight away and which all seem to feel and play different with the different armies keeping more interest for longer and not letting the game go stale. The CO OP game mode is very nicely done and for new players or even complete tabletop newbies allows you to work together to achieve your objectives, letting you feel like you both achieved something. With this type of on-ramp I can see this being unlike many of the other skirmish games something you can play with family members or introduce newbie players to the world of #warhammer . There are plenty of Teams available, I liked playing against the #HernkynYaegirs but I've definingly got my eyes on the #Kasrkin being a #veteran and when they become available #sistersofbattle.

So do I think this could be the end of large format gaming? Probably not just yet, but it does fit nicely on a dining table , with the new MDF terrain which is easily transportable it makes this like #spearhead a great on ramp for newer and seasoned players. A nice way to get a feel of a faction type without the large investment which is needed in #40k or #AOS. And a nice pallet cleanse for painting and the Teams can be incorporated into your large 2000pts Armies too.
